Well G'day Joe. This's just a courtesy note from an Aussie Bushman, to a bloke I've never met, half a world away, who has brought up at least one of his sons (Jay) to become a fine human being and a Gentleman in his own right.

To have produced healthy and intelligent offspring is a blessing on it's own, but to have produced/reared one of the next generation who is marked by particular good manners and creditable endeavour, is something else again. It is exceptionable.

Whatever life itself has thrown against your family and yourself, please accept my sincere compliments on the job you've already done as a Father and as a Human Being.
My best regards to both you and your good Wife.
Cheers from Australia. _B_

I haven't been into this site for quite some time; but I have to tell you, Jay, that it made the tears flow again. Your Dad would be (IS) so very proud. He's an inspiration to all of us even now, and he's smiling on you! Thanks for keeping the memories alive...

Joe, I just found your site surfing the web. But, I have to say that, although I don't know you, and didn't know your dad, I am sure that he would be very pleased with this site. You have done a great job of honoring the memory of your dad. I can tell you loved him very much. Thank you for introducing me to your dad. And thank you for keeping his memory alive in this way.

One of the many things I will never, never, never, never forget about your dad is the story of him and Deane as kids. I now know that your dad is responsible for most of my best years at camp because they involve Deane or Junior High 2 camp. I will always be grateful to him for the love and friendship he showed that scared kid in his cabin who whould go on to become Dean Deane. I know that if your dad had not had the character as a 13-year-old kid to show such kindness to another kid in his cabin that I may not have had the same camp experience because it could have been without Deane, Nancy, all my Gladwin friends that they brought, and so on...I often thank God in my prayers for your dad, not only the adult I knew and admired, but the child who long before I was born made decisions and performed actions that affected the biggest part of my life--camp.

Wow, what a great picture; it captures Joe at his best and most real. Thanks, Jay, for carrying on your dad's memory; you make him proud. Joe, you know what a competitive family we are. Well, we all agree: You win! You deomostrated a far greater character than any of us ever aspired to. We miss you, little brother. Who is going to help me with my gardening problems? Not to mention my computer problems? We miss you. We miss you. We miss you. You will never be forgotten. The legacacy you have left behind: Joann, Jay, Jeff and Jodi, will go forward. We miss you.

Comments: Hi, Joe. I have missed e mailing you. It has been strange to boot up and not have something waiting from you. You do seem to have easier access to my thoughts though and I have sensed your comments and guidance in the past few weeks. I miss e mailing you but I feel like I have another guardian angel. Man God must think I need a lot of guardian angels. Looking forward to seeing you again someday. Hugs and Love, Jane
