save the party

this cover is actually the work of my college roommate. it features the french cartoon character asterix coming to save the party with the cd he holds in his left hand. if i remember right, the original image had a scroll in his left hand. either way the cd is hand-drawn and so is the thumb through the hole in the middle. the back of this one is a color-rotated picture of my roommate and i at an indoor picnic, and of course the usual track list.

this one was a group effort between my roommate and i — the result of a certain friend of ours always playing crappy music at parties. unfortunately we selected the tracks a little too quickly and only about half of them are the ones we really wanted on there . . .

the track labeled 'confusion construction' by new order is actually a compressed version of ‘confusion’ by new order, starting from the pump panel reconstruction mix. somehow i thought the track title was confusion construction. anyway i took this down to 4:33 from something longer than 10 minutes, without losing anything interesting.
