circuit boards
this was an assignment for the ethnic art class i had my last semester of college . . . well sort of. the original was colored so it looked like a green celtic trinity knot on a brown background. it was heavily mosiaced with a 9 x 9 grid and 4 different color variations between brown and green. i think i had 4 circuit boards for this, and i scanned them in using my old compeye simplex scanner (for its 3d capabilites). then i just started grabbing square images from them and tiling out this design. i greyscaled the whole thing and then colorized grid squares artificially since i couldn't find good circuit board colors. this version of the image is darkened a bit, and i've greyscaled the whole thing. i’ve even used it as a geeky tiled desktop background.
