new wheels
a closeup of the new wheels i just got put on my z3 a couple days ago. the car is a bit salty now and it’s been too cold to wash it, but once it warms up i’ll probably get a longer shot to show how the wheels look on the car.
this is an 18″ elbrus i02 wheel with pirelli pzero nero tire, replacing stock 16″ bmw cross-spoke wheels and worn-out continental and michelin tires. i’m not especially into the many-spoked design of the previous wheels (and neither is my wife) and we also wanted lower-profile tires, so this is what we ended up with.
i found bmw center caps on ebay that fit these wheels almost perfectly. i was told that bmw center caps wouldn’t fit these wheels and so was pretty happy with how well these worked out.
