the south side of the house with the old bushes removed (though the one you can see in the upper left is staying) and new plants waiting to be put in the ground. the edging also comes out further from the house than before so the new plants will have room to grow without hanging over the edging. the more green-looking plants aren’t quite the right ones (we wanted white-edged instead of yellow-edged leaves), so those are going back.
