original lego models
the lego models below are all my own original creations. each is available for download as an ldraw-format model file and as a collection of instruction images.
starflyer

| notes | the inspiration for this one came from mechwarrior, a game i never actually played. ldraw actually had all of the parts for this one too, which was nice! at some point i thought this was a cool enough model to try gluing it together with plastic model cement, which looking back now wasn't the greatest idea. this model has now been blown up by naughty nestor, who honors it with the award displayed here. |

jet droid

offroader

| notes | this one actually has a suspension, but i just used the regular 2x2 pieces with axles since i couldn't find the ones with shocks. i don't think the wheels would actually turn if you bult it this way, so if you don't have the shocks just add an extra flat piece before the one with the axles. even without the shocks it still looks like it can handle pretty much any terrain with those roof headlights, the tough grill, and the spare tire. |

interceptor

| notes | the black canopy on this one actually has a different design -- i am mostly sure it came from a set where it was the back of a submarine for the underwater bad guys (whaterver they were called). i like this one because i loaded it with engines and rockets. |

| notes | you can certainly fit more than 4 minifigs in the back, but that's the number you can fit in there all sitting facing forward (or backward for that matter). the clear green canopy on the back actually says 'space police' on it and also has 4 jail bars on it, but that piece doesn't seem to be in the ldraw library yet. |

Love legos, awesome to see original set ideas and space theme too :D aww the memories. Also, you commented on a blog post I did in IB so here I am to try to make your comments a little less quiet :). |
