i recently bought myself a "varsity physics" shirt someone made available through cafepress.  now that it's arrived i got to thinking:  i have one design i originally wanted to put on a shirt, and another design i once DID put on a t-shirt (still have a few of those left actually).  so i looked around at cafepress and it sounds like it won't cost me anything at all to set it up so you can buy some of my stuff on shirts, even if nobody buys it.  so really all i could lose is the time it takes to set this up, and i could possibly make a little bit of cash.

any thoughts?  the two designs are oldskool and blah

after further reading, it looks like i can't have them put oldskool on a shirt because it looks like a nintendo controller, and it probably can't say "nintendo" either.  bummer.  i do have another idea up my sleeves though so the blah sketch won't be the only thing on there if i do it...

U probably can change the the "Nintendo" to something similar in pronounciation...like LimpKendo or PimpLendo or something....i think the blah would be a nice thing to put on a t-shirt....you could even put some of ur lego models on it...make a scene out of it...

i actually tried removing a few different things and they seemed to catch it with an automatic filter of some sort -- i got rid of all the text including the 'oldskool' and it still wasn't allowed.  i did put blah and the track7 logo up there on a couple shirts though!  i'll think about putting a lego design on a shirt too but i'm probably not going to do all of them.

That's pretty neat!  I noticed the prices are pretty reasonable too...  do you get a cut of that then?  i don't even see credit to you on the shirts themselves anywhere - maybe you want to throw a misterhaan on the new ones somewhere.

cafepress has a 'base price' for everything, then you can set the price higher.  the blah shirts are set $1 over the base price, and the track7 one is 50 cents over.  i'm thinking of having two versions available -- one with www.track7.org on it for 50 cents less, and the one without for 50 cents more.i'm not sure if i'd put the url on the track7 logo shirts though...

i finally got around to making my shop page look nicer (mainly it shows the designs instead of just being a text list)

i'll probably order the long-sleeve track7 logo shirt at some point, but i haven't yet.  do you actually use a mouse pad?  i've been using trackballs for the past 10 years or so, and even if i had a mouse it would be optical or laser and not need a pad . . .

guess that makes me old school. i just use the mouse that came with my computer. yes, with the scrollie-ball-thing that needs cleaned all the time. I have an optical wireless one for my laptop though! its sweet

they sent me a postcard saying i could get 20% off anything in my shop, so i got the long sleeve track7 t-shirt and also a couple mini buttons.  by the way, i've added a lot more stuff besides just the couple shirts i had on there before -- you might want to take a look!  now i just have to get to adding more designs :)
