protected pain
a dripping cut in the middle protected by barbed wire, but then the barbs themselves are protected from the outside by the wire. i guess to me it represents keeping my pain from others in a way that it can’t hurt them but can still hurt me. the interlocking triangle loops are not meant to be a star of david; just two triangles because i like three.
i drew this almost as much as my celtic knot border and this is the version that turned out best. i actually like it better with the wire drawn black instead of outlined, but the one time i drew it that way it looked bent wrong. if i was going to get a second tattoo i’d put this on my right shoulder 2″ across with the bleeding part red and the wire drawn with a steel color instead of outlined.
